Signature
Detailed cuticle care includes using a cuticle pusher to push back the dead cuticle skin, trimming off any dead skin using scissors or clippers, and buffing the edges in preparation for the gels to be applied as close to the edges as possible.
Essential
Using a sand paper tip on the e-file, we quickly even out the edges of your cuticle in preparation for gel to be applied smoothly.
What is sculpting?
And why is it important?
Sculpting is a Japanese nail technique that uses gel to build a high point or an apex on your nail to add strength.
It is especially beneficial for people who have very flat or even concave shaped nails.
The apex of the nail is a strategically placed concentration of product on the stress point of the nail to prevent breakage.

Gel Removal with E-file
And common misconceptions
The most common misconception is that the gels are causing your nails to become thin and brittle.
Damage to your nails usually happen during improper removal!
Soaking your nails in acetone to remove soft gel is drying to your cuticles and nails, plus the gels are scraped off until you reach the natural nail.
At Tinted., we use an e-file to gently remove the gel while leaving a thin base layer of gel so we avoid damaging your natural nails!
Nail Extensions
And what products we use
Hard gel is what we use for extensions at Tinted.
Unlike acrylic which uses evaporating solvents to harden, hard gel uses UV light.
Hard gels are hypoallergenic, which means it is less likely to cause an allergic reaction compared with acrylic.
Hard gels are also more flexible than acrylic which means that it can withstand greater pressure and is less likely to break or crack.
This also results in a thinner and more natural finish.
